• Sep 1957 NAme reverted to CHEDISTON on relief by HMS NURTON

Disposal: 21st April 1961 purchased by RAN. Commissioned as HMAS CURLEW on 21st August 1962

As HMAS CURLEW  she participated in patrols and gun actions off the coasts of North Borneo and Malayan peninsula during Confrontation with Indonesia 1964-66
