- 16 Mar 59 Paid Off to Reserve & Refit. Tailshaft problems
- 1960 Converted to Deltic Engines in Rosyth
- Mar 61 Transferred to 101st (RNR) MSS as HMS Montrose based at Dundee
- 1 Oct 62 101st MSS became 10th MSS
- Aug 63/64/65 Deployed to Gibraltar for Exercise Rockhaul Series
