  • Oct 1959 MV ‘Deniz’ scuttled while being searched off Cyrus
  • Apr 1961 SHAVINGTON collided with BURNASTON during passage manoeuvres. SHAVINGTON serious damage

Ship's Bell : At the home of  Admiral Sir Robin Hogg who commanded her in the Med during 1960's.

VILLAGE

In South Derbyshire, 4.5 miles South West of Derby.

The village and former airfield were re-developed as HQ for Toyota, vigorously promoted by then local MP Edwina Currie.
