Originally built as a Salvor class ocean salvage vessel but converted to become a specialist deep diving trials and submarine rescue ship. Reclaim had a distinguished career in both roles. In 1960 she was assigned to Lochinavr for MCM support and diving trials until relieved of the MCM role by HMS ABDIEL.
