TON Model installed at Gunwharf Quay

Complimenting the varous memorials on the former site of HMS VERNON to the variety of underwater warfare activities taught there ; the divers statue, torpedo and mines, a model of a TON Class Minehunter, HMS BOSSINGTON, was  installed in the Customs House at Gunwharf Quay, Portsmouth on 14th March. 

The model, originally constructed by a TCA member as a radio-controlled model, had been extensively refurbished over a 5-month period by TCA Vice Chair Sam Cook.

The model was “unveiled” by TCA President Rear Admiral John Lippiett with a Blessing given by Rev Trevor Filtness, TCA Chaplain, with representatives of Gunwharf Quay management team present.
