Jenny and I had pleasure in hosting the four COs of the Ukrainian minehunters currently based in Portsmouth on  Saturday 30th May.

They were accompanied by Cdr Alasdair Magill who oversees the administration as SO1 Interbow (Maritime) and his COS, Lt Cdr James Oxley.

Lt Max Cherniy,  (XO, representing his CO who is in Ukraine at present) UNS Cheskasy [ex HMS Shoreham]

Interpreter Ros, a fellow Ukrainian ex Merchant Navy officer was also with us.

I briefed them about the TCA and the invitation extended to make them Honorary Members, and they were enthusiastic in their acceptance. Promising them copies of Ton Talk, I encouraged them to write about some of their experiences for future magazines.
